Hemmer is the best hard-news guy on Fox and the only reason I even watch in the morning. Glad he got the gig.
Is 3PM where Shep used to be?
You remember Shep Smith, don’t you?
Agree, Bill is OK. Way better than Shep.
Good move. Now Fire Fudge Napolitano and Chris Wallace and Juan Williams.
And replace Never-Trumper Neil Cavuto with Lou Dobbs.
Then theyll be moving in the Right direction.
Much better!
Maybe they’re starting to feel the heat with OANN doing some good hard news reporting.
So he will be responsible for the Breaking Alerts! Bong that happens every ten minutes?
What a wonderfully easy job!
(BONG) Breaking Alert: President Trump Enters Restroom!
(BONG) Breaking Alert: President Trump Exits Helicopter!
etc.
I cant stand Fox and havent paid to watch it for many years.
Hemmer may be better than Shemp Smith, but he’s another liberal.
Bill Hemmer is, from time to time, full of it. He has a very high opinion of himself and acts as a horse’s ass regularly. You can always tell what his personal opinion is on any story and he is both a Liberal and a Trump Hater.
With all that said, I still guessed that he was the leading candidate and he is probably the right choice given the internal candidates available. I was concerned that one of the wonder women on the Fox News stable would get the nod. All of them are too ambitious and too Liberal to be suited to be the Shep replacement.
a straight-news gig?
as if Shep ever did it any other way. ;-)
Go Bill!! This will be terrific. https://t.co/6IRe2wow6t— Laura Ingraham (@IngrahamAngle) December 9, 2019

Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer, who is very much a part of the media himself, told a White House staffer to go on offense against the media on Friday.
On Fridays Americas Newsroom, Hemmerwho is supposed to be one of Fox News objective, non-ideological voicesand co-anchor Sandra Smith interviewed White House aide Mercedes Schlapp about the fight between White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders and CNNs Jim Acosta.
Acosta had walked out of the White House press briefing on Thursday when Sanders refused to say the media is not the enemy of the people.
Schlapp stood by Sanders.
You know, fake news is dangerous, she said. We know for a fact that many of these so-called news reporters, okay, that go out there have a complete disdain for President Trump.
Schlapp continued by saying that 90 percent of the media coverage for Trump has been negative, and ranted about how the liberal media pushes out fake news, both of which are very vague, false statements.
Hemmer reacted very sympathetically, encouraging Schlapp to be even more combative with reporters.
I dont think you should be defensive about this, you need to go on offense, he said. What the hell?
Hemmer concluded the interview with a comment he wouldnt have made if he was a real journalist: are you tired of winning?
It might not surprise you to learn that Hemmer has reportedly been floated as a possible successor to Sanders as White House press secretary. The segment proved once again that Fox News is only interested in impressing Trump by throwing all other normal journaliststhose who are actually doing their jobs to keep the president accountableunder the bus.
Good. I was surprised when they initially pegged Chris Wallace for the job. He is way too dull and boring for anything but a slow paced Sunday talking head job. Hemmer is probably the best choice from what they have in their stable.
Good choice.
Of course, anything would be better than Shep.
Bill Hemmer is a good choice. He is still a honest and unbiased journalist, IMO.
Yeah. Hemmer is certainly better than the hysterical Shepherd Fairy.
