Back in June, the Austin City Council passed an ordinance that largely decriminalized sitting, laying or camping in public places.

Amazing how allowing bums to camp out on your office's front doors suddenly changes even liberals minds.

The city has bought one hotel and is in the process of buying a second hotel to house the homeless which is costing the city a pretty penny. A few days before Thanksgiving, they made the homeless move out from some underpasses but that was just the once so they moved right back. It won't be long before Austin and SF are indistinguishable.

They could buy 20+ used containers and fit them out with bunk beds, say 10 per unit. Along with a community outhouse they’ve taken 200 people off the streets.

There’s already a solution to homelessness in Austin, and no surprise, it ain’t run by the government. Reported on by “The Best Podcast in the Universe!”

Okay, so (assuming) there are 1,100 people needing shelter. $50,000 can buy $45 worth of shelter.

Congratulations, you just set up 1,100 people at a Motel 6 for a night.

And with $14mm, you can keep ‘em there for about 2.5 years.

Problem solved? LOL.
