James Rosen, a great reporter, asked Nancy Pelosi at a press conference last week why she hates the duly elected president of the United States. In her response, Pelosi detoured into another dimension, denying that she hates Donald Trump. “As a Catholic,” she lectured, “I resent your using the word ‘hate’ in a sentence that addresses me. I don’t hate anyone.”
“My goodness!,” I thought to myself. “How utterly frustrated, bemused — even furious — sincerely devout Catholics must feel listening to this cheap politician, who represents billionaires in a district teeming with homeless, cloaking her hatred for President Trump in Catholic fabric!” Which part of her devout “as a Catholic” devotion leads Nancy Pelosi to be a leader in promoting abortions, gay marriage, and the Obama–Democrat agenda she shepherded? Where was this “as a Catholic” when the Little Sisters of the Poor were fighting their way to the Supreme Court of the United States, seeking SCOTUS protection in Zubik v. Burwell in 2016, from Pelosi’s Obamacare, which forced the nuns, against their Catholic faith, to provide birth control contraceptives to employees? (I know where I was. Together with my Orthodox rabbinical colleagues Rabbi Steven Pruzansky and Rabbi Mitchell Rocklin, I submitted an amicus curae brief with the court in support of the Catholic nuns.)
I feel bad for truly devout Catholics who go to mass on Sundays, worship throughout the week, adhere to the doctrines of their faith, know and honor their catechism, look to the Vatican for the traditional theological guidance that came from Rome during the papacies of the likes of popes John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, and Benedict XVI...

With the woke Pope who agrees with her on every issue Dov mentioned here. The Catholic Church has been hijacked and this is why Nancy can make her totally outrageous statement with no fear of push back.

I posted about this a few days ago. A guest on The World Over with Raymond Arroyo on the Catholic EWTN said Pelosi has frequently damaged the prolife movement, endangered the sanctity of life, opposed the marriage of one man and one woman as the norm and then cloaked herself in Catholicism and expects sympathy and respect. I believe she knows what she is doing to President Trump is wrong and she is doing it anyway for power.

CINO - I’ll remember that the next time I see one of my sisters. She converted to Catholicism when she married many decades ago, says she is very religious. Except she is a very angry liberal who won’t turn the other cheek when she says she won’t ever forgive another sister she fought with. She reminds me of Pelosi when she attacks me for my conservative views. CINO for sure.

Hope she keeps it up, using her allegedly professed faith like a roll of toilet paper to wipe her a$$ on. The more she alienates Catholic voters, the better off they’ll be voting Republican. These people have absolutely no self-awareness at all, Nancy, Schiff, Nadler, the Squad, et al. The earthy Deplorables will swallow them like Korah and his followers.

That, may be true, still does not change that she stands with Pope Francis, because he stands with her. Pope John Paul II didn’t stand with Nancy though and she didn’t stand with Pope John Paul II.
