Scott Adams, a master of Persuasion, explains that you don't want the American voter gerbils to "think" that there's something actually there.

The Lefties want to get this all wound up in the "brains" of the retards.

The recommended course of action?

Mock the charges with a one-sentence dismissal, then go straight to a vote.

It would be devastating.

I can see the desire for a "spectacle", but annihilating the anklebiters by p*ssing in their faces would be nuclear.

Well then Scott Adams is wrong. Not having a trial and not calling any witnesses will just be spun as meaning you are guilty. Trump is right. It must be a “spectacle” as it will be the only way for people to see and hear about it. The Democrats have had the media for 3 years peddling lies. Trump deserves 2 weeks to defend himself.

There are sound reasons for either option.

Add this factor in the President’s favor, in the event of a long trial: his counsel gets to do discovery.

“Mock the charges with a one-sentence dismissal, then go straight to a vote.”

Bingo.

Call the press and toss the Impeachment articles into the garbage.

I think the Republicans in the Senate should use the rules of evidence as applied in court. Nobody questioned by Nadler had any direct evidence except perhaps Vindman. Then require Schiff etc to testify. If they don’t appear they are obstructing Congress. Short trial.

Done in one afternoon...

Call one witness that is "good", then vote.

It would also be wrong. They wanted a war, now they've got one. If Trump is impeached, it is scorched earth time.

And you got to be a little blithe not to follow Scott Adams and understand that his 'persuasion' means he wants what he wants and he gets what he wants by persuasion, and whether or not that coincides with the right course of order for anyone else is ts.

Adams is no more or less a persuasion expert than President Trump, and I back my President to the hilt on a Senate trial, if he wants one. If Trump prefers a vote of acquittal, I back that too.
