Could this murder have been a gang initiation activity for these “youth”?

She probably just didn’t give up her cell phone and her money fast enough.

Side story: A few years ago I watched a TV show where they were interviewing convicted murderers. One murderer killed a convenience store clerk.

The murderer actually thought of himself as a victim! It was all the clerk’s fault, said the murderer. The clerk would be alive today if he had just opened up the cash register faster.

That’s the kind of sick, twisted mentality we’re dealing with here.

Doubtful. Robbing people and thieving from local businesses is what these kids do every day for recreation. It's their pastime.

The answer is yes, it looks like gang initiation.

The conclusion is gangs are always a problem, and the problem is growing.

Historically, gangs want to be under the radar. Secret is their key.

The solution is to create public awareness.
