Yes it IS a big deal!..... Luzerne County is Northeastern Pa's second-largest county and the most populous county in the northeastern part of the state....(right there with Bidens Scranton! Ha Ha!) .. Trump won the county with 58% of the vote, the largest margin since Nixon and the first time a Republican presidential candidate carried the county since 1988.

Exactly....Pa’s my state. Phila and Pittsburgh are deeply blue....but I can say for Pittsburgh it’s getting chipped off bit by bit...slowly unfortunately. When the Dems saw that happening even Obama took note and suddenly all sorts of monies began flowing there.

He’s a state senator, not that big of a deal.

David Rufful is founder of YoungCons, the bane of right-leaning click-bait. Most articles on his new click-bait site ("Analyzing America") are similar. This one makes everyone think another CONGRESSMAN defected, but it is an utterly insignificant state rep. Too late! Clicks counted and paid!

Yeah, the GOP needs more democrats in their ranks.

Coming from a family that still has conservative democrats in it, I'm very supportive of the Walk Away movement.

And if we're encouraging them to Walk Away, then we need to welcome them when they do.

Am I saying this guy should be fast-tracked for leadership? No, but give him a chance.

Now I know opinions may differ on this, but I happen to think it is fantastic that all of the Next Generation Democrats are willing to destroy their own future careers, and all of the good things they wanted to accomplish, simply to protect the corruption of the aging Boomer Democrats, and the corruption cash flow of the Boomer Dems children, many of whom are older than the NextGen Dems themselves.

THAT is what you call Party Unity!

Headline is not “deceptive”. He’s switching because of this impeachment bs and that’s worth something. There are plenty of average citizens that are switching and everyone of them have value

How many democrats crossed the aisle during the Clintstone regime? Several metric buttloads, wasn’t it?

There’s a decent list of party-switchers out there: Condi Rice, Rick Perry, Strom Thurmond, Arlen Specter, and even Trent Lott.

“””””Old news plus who gives a sh.t he’s a STATE senator.””””

It’s a BIG deal. Here in Minnesota we have a Republican controlled state Senate. It keeps our liberal doosh governor from putting us in chains.

Per Wiki

The district is a mix of suburban and rural communities. It is predominantly white and middle class. The bulk of its population is located in the ancestrally Democratic cities of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. However, the Democrats in this district are not as liberal as their counterparts in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The old 17th swung from a 55-43 win for Barack Obama to a 54-43 win for Donald Trump—the first time much of this area had voted for a Republican since 1988.
