No one is talking about it, and the media treating it like a historical moment just rings so hollow with almost everyone.

I talked with a couple of ordinary people, all retired, today. They all said it was a "waste of money". They were bored, at best. At worst they are angry. These are not partisans, don't use the internet, they watch TV news, and traditionally vote Dem.

I'm not sure they will switch. They might stay Dem. But as of today, they could.
