Conservative radio host Mark Levin said Thursday that Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell should immediately nullify impeachment.
Levin spoke out in a Thursday Facebook post after the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump Wednesday night. Levin discussed House Speaker Nancy Pelosis brazen unconstitutional act of unilaterally sitting on the impeachment and laid out a plan for McConnell to immediately nullify impeachment.
Heres what Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans must do in response, Levin wrote. The Senate has the sole power under the Constitution to adjudicate an impeachment. Therefore, Pelosi is attempting to obstruct the Senates power to act on its constitutional authority.
McConnell should immediately put an end to this and declare the impeachment null and void as the speaker has failed to complete the impeachment process by timely sending it to the Senate for adjudication, Levin added.
The conservative radio host said that McConnell has no less authority to do this than Pelosi has to keep administrative notification of impeachment from the Senate.
Her effort to cripple the presidency and blackmail the Senate must be defeated, Levin wrote.
Mitch should announce a start date for the trial, get the chief justice locked in and notify Nancy she has 12 days to announce the managers.
Mitch feels he has power now.
I wonder how long he will wait?
The clock is ticking...
.
This is the kind of DEMOCRAT mental disorder that prevails:
Democrat Jim Clyburn Lets give Trump a fair trial, and then hang him
Maybe for a Start, and then the Senate should hold Hearings regarding HONESTY in Congress, then get Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi ALL Under Oath to explain their LIES TO CONGRESS, Find them in Contempt of Congress, then refer All of them for Criminal Prosecution
Agree. He should set a trial date when they reconvene in January. If she doesn’t show up with House Managers, acquit and move on. Can the file a dismissal without anything coming from the House?
And this question too: the laws passed from one Congress to the next are not bound. If they sit on the articles and they lose the House in November, the next Congress of GOP can just throw the articles away. or send it to the Senate for acquittal. But they aren’t bound to do anything with them if they are still lingering.
“Obstruct the Senate’s power.” that sounds like...obstruction of congress, no?
LOL, I've read that same sentiment numerous times right here on FR with regard to certain criminals obviously guilty of heinous crimes.
The difference being, of course, that Trump is not guilty. :-)
That sounds pretty good.
I’m in!
lol!!
Don’t know any precedent. If a house doesn’t send articles to the senate IMO they would expire.
This is when Mark Levin enjoys huffing and puffing a bit too much.
It’s far too early to even be suggesting this, let alone stating or doing it.
Cocaine Mitch knows exactly how to play this hand. He’s going to let them twist.
All the momentum in this #ShamImpeachment is going in President Trump’s direction. You can see it in his demeanor in Michigan last night. He knows this is actually propelling him to victory next November.
No one is going to help bail out the Democrats from their stupidity.
What? and throw away his leverage on Trump? I don’t think that is going to happen.
You’ve posted this in a million threads today, and it’s complete nonsense.
Mitch already has “leverage” over the president. It’s called separation of powers. But he’s been confirming Trump’s judges right up the line, and has backed Trump when it’s mattered.
Did you even listen to his address to the senate this morning?
may I ask for brief explanation or link why he is “cocaine” mitch.
