I may not agree with Gaetz, but I respect his opinion on forcing Congress to do their jobs. Realistically, the President should do what needs to be done real time, but CONGRESS should start declaring wars by vote. That’s my opinion, I understand others.

If North Korea launches a missile against the United States, does the President have to confer with Congress in the ten minutes time he has to make decisions?
This resolution had absolutely nothing to do with forcing Congress to do their job[s] Its sole and only purpose was to embarrass and tie President Trump’s hands. This guy understood the purpose of that. Hell, the village understands that. He just hopes you don’t.

They do and they always have- We didn’t go to war with iran- there is no reason that traitorous congresspeople should be informed ahead of time that the president is about to take out lone terrorists so that they can either ‘hold the process up while they vote on it’ or 2 ‘inform the enemy that we’re coming for them’
Matt Gaetz and hte liberals know full well that what President Trump did was NOT declaring war, and that he was fully authorized to take the action he did WITHOUT informing congress since he was NOT declaring war- but they, and apparently people like gaetz and lee, want to bind the hands of the president so that he can no longer take immediate and swift action when the fleeting opportunities present themselves to take out mass murderers! That is a despicable position to take- that declares that protecting terrorists by mucking up and holding up the attacks by requiring congressional approval for attacks against terrorists, is more important than protecting American lives-
his president and ANY president is fully authorized to take out bad guys without congressional approval when the opportunities present themselves- If Gaetz doesn’t understand this, then he doesn’t belong in cognress representing the republican party=- -
