It's All About Trust (2A Sactuary Letter to the Editor)
letter to the editor submitted | pending | self

Editor, ####################

There may be no better description of the Virginia state government’s ongoing agenda than the old adage, “What you are seeing depends on where you are standing.”

For me it all comes down to trust, in this case trusting elected politicians.

Decrying Republican politicians is a waste of words as their fecklessness when in the majority led us to this situation. Future scholars will wonder how it was that GOP politicians could walk upright, given that most Homo republicanus were creatures without a spine.

On the other hand, Democrat politicians have clear agendas they pursue with relentless commitment. Unlike their “opposition,” Democrat politicians make promises *and* keep them. That alone has instilled my trust in Democrat politicians, and thus my own conclusions about the agenda they are enacting at this very moment. Let’s look at the recent past:

Democrat politicians promised to bureaucratize our medical system, resulting that it would be rendered more expensive and less accessible.

They kept that promise.

Democrat politicians promised to work towards nationally transforming our schools and universities from entities of rational learning into institutions of ideological indoctrination.

They kept that promise.

Democrat politicians promised to raise taxes and increase regulation at every level.

They kept that promise.

Democrat politicians promised to do their best to cripple the carbon-based energy industry and pursue “renewable” boondoggles.

They kept that promise.

Democrat politicians promised to encourage, enable, validate and impose every kind of social and psycho-sexual pathology that undermine traditional norms that have succeeded for millennia.

They kept that promise.

Democrat politicians promised to protect and enable their sacrament of aborticide.

They kept that promise.

Democrat politicians promised to encourage and protect alien invaders at the expense of the security and well-being of their own citizenry.

They kept that promise.

This string of “promises kept” by Democrat politicians makes my trust in them justified. So, when they promise to enact laws that not only restrict the citizens’ access to have whatever self protection tools the citizen wants *and* declares those citizens to be criminals in the process, I trust they will do just that. By the time you read this they may have already enacted laws that will result in declaring many of our ####### County neighbors to be criminals.

If you think that this agenda by Democrat politicians in Richmond (NOT rank-and-file Democrats) is being implemented “for our own good,” between you and me that makes one of us who believes them. Also, ask me about a bridge I have for sale.

It really does come down to, “What you are seeing depends on where you are standing.” From where I stand, I trust that Democrat politicians will do what they promise.

Our county is now a 2A Sanctuary county, and at the town meeting almost *half* of the adult population for the county showed up.

We'll see if the local paper prints this letter I've been noodling for a couple days.

“A people unwilling to use extreme violent force to obtain or preserve their liberty deserves the tyrants that rule them.”

I like the practical idea that sheriffs will be willing to deputize hundreds or thousands of citizens. This will allow all of those citizens, even under the new laws, to continue to own and carry guns.

Since the National Guard is ultimately at the whim of the President, I'm hoping that Trump will step in if/when necessary to prevent them from being used to disarm the citizens of Virginia.

I really wish he had deployed the National Guard in Charlottesville when we all realized that the governor was unwilling to use the police to keep the opposing sides separated.

The National Guard serves at no one’s whim.

They all take an oath.

And take it seriously.

What I meant is that they ultimately take orders from the President. So the governor could order them to enforce the new laws, but that can be vetoed by Trump.

Sorry for the sloppy phrasing.

“...almost *half* of the adult population for the county showed up. ...”

They should show up armed, just to make the point.

So, like Tony Montana from Scarface said:

Please make it clear that this is not just a state issue, this stupidity is now a national issue. There are thousands ready from other states if and when needed... If we don’t do it there then we will just have to do it here very shortly after. No more, Ca got away with enough and it is time to fight back against this insanity.

Every Virginian (and American) should be asking themselves this question: If Democrats now fully control state government, why is it necessary for them to restrict and/or impair gun ownership? Could it be that they are seeking permanent control by whatever means they choose and know that it will be necessary to put down future resistance? I fear the proposed measures in Virginia are simply a test to see if this can be achieved on a national basis. Thankfully America is not Hong Kong or Mexico where restricted gun ownership means that those with guns remain in control, but I fear we could be. Then it will be easy for the Clintons, Bidens, Obamas, Brennans and others to rape the public treasury while telling us we can’t order a large soft drink.
