Attorney General William Barr announced Monday the December mass shooting by a Saudi national that left three American sailors dead in Pensacola, Florida was an act of terrorism.

Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, a second lieutenant in the Royal Saudi Air Force, shot and killed three U.S. navy sailors — Ensign Joshua Kaleb Watson, 23, Airman Mohammed Haitham, 19, and Airman Apprentice Cameron Walters, 21 — and wounded at least eight others at the Naval Air Station Pensacola. Haitham and Walters received posthumous promotions, and Acting Secretary of the Navy Thomas Modly praised them for displaying “the finest warrior ethos and quick decision-making that undoubtedly saved many lives.”

Alshamrani was shot and killed by responding deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.

Was it by a white supremacist? No? What’s the matter with you people? Can’t you help us with our narrative?

Just when you think that nothing could have been worse than Mr. Magoo up steps ball-less Barr.

Agree 100%. He’s running out the clock on Trump’s first term. Couldn’t be more obvious.

Sen. Rick Scott, a Florida Republican, called for “a full review of the US military programs to train foreign nationals on American soil” in the wake of the shooting, saying, “we shouldn't be providing military training to people who wish us harm.” And Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, also a Republican, said, “the government of Saudi Arabia needs to make things better for these victims” and “they’re going to owe a debt here.”

As a polite suggestion, if the situation deserves a "full review", then would it not be prudent to send them all back first?

Related question (because I have no idea), do any of these military "visitors" overstay?

“we did learn of derogatory material possessed by 21 Saudi trainees,” including 17 people who had shared “jihadi or anti-American content” and 15 people, including some of the 17, who had contact with child pornography.

Note that they try to blend them in by stating "He was one of more than 850 Saudi nationals in the United States for military training ". While technically true, I believe these 21 Saudis were pretty much one group at NAS Pensacola, not scattered examples from bases across the USA. So, 21 out of 21, not out of 850. And these are supposed to be "the good ones", meticulously screened, politically and psychologically. Prior to this attack, most people would have pointed to them as examples of "moderate Islam". In many Muslim countries, this is what moderate looks like...

Just send them home and they can’t come back without a note from their king, is that it? I’m losing confidence in our AG...insofar as I ever had any.

Well it really doesn’t take much for some freepers to feel insecure over any mis-step they think this administration is taking.

I don’t see any ‘moderates’ in Islamic muslims if they’re practicing muslims. It’s actually when they embrace Islam and go deeper they become radical.....unfortunately their mothers
often encourage this for rebellous sons which in fact just encourages their rebellious natures...prime candidates for violent Jihad.

Sharia Law is the political aspect of Islam, which makes up quite a bit of it. I also view Islam as a religion, as far as false religions go. It reinterprets the god of both Christians and Jews as something more befitting desert nomads who were always out to steal each others’ mud holes. There were times that he slipped up and reverted back to Hubal worship, from which Islam derives a lot of its customs. Muslims just say he was possessed then, but got better. Yeah, sure. When were Isaiah or Elijah ever possessed by the devil?

They have it and it is meta data.

They will not admit to it.

It will show the routing of data, and that ain’t happening.

Hopefully, none of these budding fighter pilots return to knock down one or more of our buildings. If that happens, it will prove that we are too stupid for survival.
