Her spouting her climate crap makes it highly unlikely that any boy would want to get near her, so sure.

Lake Toba is 440 square miles. Lake Pinatubo is 0.7 square miles. Lake Taal is 94 square miles but most of that lake was created 100k to 500k years ago and that is not likely to repeat.
But I think you are right about looking at duration. The 1754 eruption lasted 7 months. That could have unpredictable effects like the Icelandic volcano did to Europe.

the human race will be lucky to survive - last time we barely made it - most assume it will be an event taking place in one or two days - but the huge area of such an eruption and the massive amount of magma could well make the event last weeks or months. The ensuing winter could last centuries covering the whole earth in time.
as I said, 4 billion people live in the danger zone with nowhere to hide or run to.

1990s movie “Dante’s Peak” was on TV the other day. Lots of warnings, few listened.

They should sacrifice St. Greta of Thunberg to the volcano to appease it. Taal or Vaal?

I dunno about you but, the one thing about getting old is that you have met a lot of people in the old age.
I come from an area where they have a top geology school and have met a pretty good professor who tends to keep up on this stuff. So..we talk about volcanoes quite a lot.
I can talk about this stuff for DAYS and never get tired of it. Being the dumb ass kid I was, I should have went to geology school, but NO, I had to stay in the woods.
My old man was right.. Run, or the woods will get you.

Depends on if one goes off in the Northern hemisphere or the Southern.
Toba is central. As was the one that went off during the 6th? century. That one is in Central America and blackened the entire earth. I think it was around 536 or around that time. Actually, if I remember right, there is evidence that there was a couple around that time. But those were VEI 6 or 7s.
