The voice recorder is. If the pilot had time to issue a mayday and request return to the airport, then there should have been time for calls to be made to stop firing at it. It also means a lot more people knew what was happening.
It’s being said that there was almost 2 mins between the 2 missiles. (1 min 53 sec is what I heard)
Iranians believe that the 2nd missile was intentional to try to cover the mistake of the 1st.
The plane might have taken that long to crash, after the first missile hit, but the missiles were fired close together in time.
