I'm sure Comey will have a very sensitive, drama-inducing tweet wondering at the universe over this news...

Mr. Trump recently suggested without evidence that Mr. Comey should be prosecuted

Waiting for when the NYT writes, "The House Democrats without evidence voted to impeach the President."

Every time the president make an allegation, which is usually later proved correct, the media says his statement is “without evidence”. But Democrats’ wild accusations are never labeled as such.

Soooo, as with anything from the Slimes, the first question is, "what are they trying to get out ahead of?"

Here it is, trying to undermine / delegitimize the investigation, which means they see trouble:

The timing of the investigation could raise questions about whether it was motivated at least in part by politics. Prosecutors and F.B.I. agents typically investigate leaks of classified information around the time they appear in the news media, not years later. And the inquiry is the latest politically sensitive matter undertaken by the United States attorney’s office in Washington, which is also conducting an investigation of Mr. Comey’s former deputy, Andrew G. McCabe, that has been plagued by problems.

Years old? These hacks make it sound like the investigation is going back a long time.

Actually.... the article says the articles based on the leak appeared in 2017, which pretty much means we are talking about less than three years ago.

Do they dismissively describe actions by DJT prior to become president as “years old”? As in ‘Democrats persist in chasing years old tax records....”

Heck, the reporters are probably drinking older wine than Comey’s suspected leak.

I’m sure nothing will come of this even if they come up with scads of evidence that Comey lied, leaked, conspired, flew around with Jeffery Epstein, ran a child sex trafficking network, and cheated on his taxes.

He’s one of the ‘special people’ who is more equal than the rest of us so nobody will touch him.

"without evidence"

Obviously, the nyt has no way of knowing that President Trump is without evidence.

The air cover the media runs for Democrats is thick in this article.

It’s a good reminder of why prosecuting the media’s partners in crime needs to be airtight to even have a chance.

read the whole article...very interesting to say the least

:

The information included a Russian analysis of what appeared to be an email exchange during the 2016 presidential campaign between Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Democrat of Florida who was also the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee at the time, and Leonard Benardo, an official with the Open Society Foundations, a democracy-promoting organization whose founder, George Soros, has long been a target of the far right.

In the email, Ms. Wasserman Schultz suggested that then-Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch would make sure that Mrs. Clinton would not be prosecuted in the email case.

They’re going to convict Comey of some years old jaywalking charge and calm it even for everything else he did? I don’t think that is going to pass the stink test.

So the Just-Us department, led by Barr, is investigating?

Well, I’ll hold my breath, long enough, perhaps I can play the bag pipes, too.

Waste of time. Comey is untouchable, if you’ll pardon the expression.

Nobody is DC is ever held accountable for anything.

I must admit that I’m not hopeful about seeing any of the major players in the conspiracy going to trial...and even less hopeful of any convictions (or guilty pleas). But I at least hope that they’re sweating while waiting for Durham’s final report.

“Mr. Trump recently suggested without evidence that Mr. Comey should be prosecuted for “unlawful conduct” and spend years in prison. “

It’s funny how leftard journalists and lawmakers believe so conclusively and selectively that there is no evidence on the one hand, when it’s everywhere in plain sight, and so conclusively and selectively that there is evidence when it’s never been uncovered. This is not investigation or reasoning. It’s alchemy and dogma.

There is a real possibility the left will be able to remove the President, solely because we elected the wrong person.

It feels like the only way honorable conservatives (and conservative media) can fight the left and have any chance of prevailing, is to get down in the dirt and resolve to outright lie, scheme, plot and connive even more than the left (if that is even possible). The left is not hung up on such minor things as integrity, truth, honor, etc. Just winning at all costs.

With a country full of naïve, trusting the media, un-critical thinking, low information voters — i.e. sheep — what hope is there for such old fashioned ideas like “truth” to be able to defeat Schiff/Dims/media/corrupt FBI/corrupt DOJ? (Question raised as a joke.)

There has got to a number of clever, devious, sneaky, treacherous, vile, and tricky good guys/gals to mount a challenge to the left’s dirty tactics. Surely there is.

If a new party ever came into being determined to fight the left using the left’s tactics, count me in.

Once the left has managed to successfully disarm the citizens — and, this is coming — perhaps then patriots will be willing to make sacrifices for the hope of regaining liberty.

Stopping the left WILL eventually require blood. They are not going away without it.

Her Heinous got a total pass. President Trump stands a chance (even if absurdly slim) of losing the Senate trial. I don’t trust the DOJ to do anything more than to tell Comey he was a naughty—very naughty!—little boy. Naughty, naughty, naughty!

Isn’t the New York times a co-conspirator in this exact aspect of the coup? These people took money and bribes received access and privilege in return wrote whatever Obama’s lackeys told them to.

I wonder if one of two things are involved here:

* Someone in DOJ is after Comey for his crimes and this is one way of getting him on criminal charges.

* Someone in the Deep State is willing to sacrifice Comey to protect the higher-ups (Clapper, Brennan, Biden, Hillary, Obama).

If he ends up in jail and his career legacy in tatters, by any means legal or extralegal, I’m all for it.

“Jim: You were not the person America was waiting for” (Hint: It was your self-anointed boss Obama.”

/sarcing all the way to the barf bank.
