SECOND REASON: You simply can’t trust the ‘pro-gun’ Democrat. Look at Manchin, as pro-gun as any Democrat today - at least when he campaigned in W. Virginia. What did he do right after getting into federal office: Work on gun control measures. When the ‘tough votes’ come, even Democrats who promise to be nice to us (and even can support it with their record in lower office, such as Manchin) will go with their leadership - that’s why the Trump impeachment vote in the House wasn’t even close.
THIRD REASON: If US Senate, the anti-gun Republican almost certainly will vote for conservative federal judges. How do I know that - go look at the voting records of today’s RINOs on judges, they support Trump 98% of the time, and that includes judges who disagree with them on many important issues (including prayer, abortion, and gun control).
