“antibiotics are not working” against a virus. Shocking.

Antibiotics do nothing against viruses. The most they can do is take out bacterial infections that develop as a result of the immune system being busy fighting off the virus.

Put another way, this is like complaining that the waterproofing treatment you put on your jacket is doing nothing against the fire that is burning the jacket.

LISTER: Of course. Lager! The only thing that can kill a vindaloo!

He picks up a full lager can. With superhuman (for his height) strength he tosses the lager can at the monster. The can wedges between it's mandibles.

LISTER than takes aim and fires! The blast from his bazookoid strikes the can, and it explodes. So does the monster.

You mean the immune system can't handle more than one thing at a time? According to the medical profession, it's invincible, which is why you can have any vaccination, in any combination, at any time, for any reason, at any age or physical condition.

No need for a census to tell us how many more Chinese there are in America than we are led to believe.

Just chart the course of this virus...

It is a Coronavirus and the method to inhibit the Orthomyxovirus, the flu, is to use a drug that inhibits the replication of the virus via the enzyme that allows the reverse transcriptase portion of the replication process which the Coronavirus doesn't use. Coronaviruses are difficult to make vaccines against as veterinarians learned with the FIP feline, Coronavirus canine, and porcine Coronaviruses. There are literally thousands of variants of these viruses.

Um, no? That’s not what the medical community says - there are reasons there are questions about existing illness, etc., asked on immunization authorization forms. The immune system can handle multiple threats at a time, but if a particular illness is bad enough, the system’s response can end up being dedicated to that one with little resource left over.

Also, doctors were prescribing antibiotics like candy - not just on their own impetus but because there’s a lot of idiots out there that think antibiotics solve most anything and demand them.

I have a co-worker who was originally from Mainland China and has family there. She told me facial masks have sold out there.

You might have fooled me. I know the veterinary profession has changed its attitudes over the years, but even at that there are lots of vets who pooh-pooh the idea ... probably because vaccination is their bread-and-butter.

My wife is a veterinarian.

She got deathly ill late 2018 early 2019 for 5 months. Still not over 100% to this day about 85-90% back to normal. Wicked viral lung infection that tuned into a severe asthma like condition.

We went to 2 world class hospitals and multiple doctors, multiple ER and hospital stays and no one came out with an definitive diagnosis.

She could not walk more than 5 steps without wheezing for air and nearly passing out.

Don’t worry. They’re banning assault rifles, so everyone’s safe and cozy.
