Good grief. Yes, you can print the plastic frame of a gun with a 3-D printer. But the rifled barrel? The firing pin? The trigger spring? There are easier ways to make a "zip gun" than with a 3-D printer. This is simply more irrational fear of firearms.

The frame is the “firearm”, the part which gets the serial number and which you need to do a Form 4473 to buy.

Everything else, the barrel, trigger assembly, etc, can (currently) be bought for cash with no paperwork, once you have a frame.

Make your own frame, and you can legally have a completely unregistered gun, which exists in no government database. That’s what they’re upset about.
