Notre Dame was founded by non-slaveholders in a free state where slavery had been prohibited by the Northwest Ordinance before it began to be settled by white people. If there was ever any slavery there it was practiced by the indigenous people who were later forced to leave by the white Americans. So to say that Notre Dame owes reparations makes no sense...unless your starting point is that all white people owe reparations to black people just by virtue of being born white.
