For those of us who have followed the impeachment, it was the first time the President was able to fully defend himself.

I think it was very wise and brilliant for the Trump team to do just a two-hour presentation on Saturday and then send everybody home for a weekend of rest. Even the two-hour presentation was devastating to the Democrat's case to those who bothered to watch it.

The Democrats thought they had Trump at a disadvantage by having him start his defense on a Saturday, when nobody was paying attention and doing weekend stuff.

But Trump outsmarted them - as he always does.

The real fireworks start Monday morning.

Relieved Republicans welcome Trump defense

Relieved? The slugs of RINOs needed Trump to get the off the hook so they didn't have to do their own job and take up the cudgel early on. The RINOs should have been holding public hearings in the judiciary committee and calling witnesses under oath, such as Shiffty and the Bidens.
