Individuals have been making their own firearms for the entire history of the United States and before. Homemade guns are not as popular as factory-made guns, because factory-made guns are easily and cheaply available in the United States. The Second Amendment has guaranteed that right.

It is a part of the right to keep and bear arms to be able to procure arms. A basic and fundamental way to procure arms is to make your own. Most home manufacture of firearms is for hobby or experimental purposes, although considerable homemade guns are produced in localities with extreme restrictions on the ownership of guns.

Delaware is in the process of passing a statute to make it illegal to make your own firearms or to even possess a piece of metal that is intended to be used to make a receiver. From the proposed statute, HB 277:

( ) “Unfinished firearm frame or receiver” means a firearm frame or receiver that requires further machining or molding in order to be used as part of a functional firearm, and which is designed and intended to be used in the assembly of a functional firearm.

I saw a story months ago about a guy in Idaho or Montana who was making FA ARs “for sale only in state”. IIRC the ATF raided him and took all his stuff but they didn’t arrest or indict him. All they wanted was for him to stop.

People will always find a way to not comply.

We’re Americans; it’s what we do.

Every year these same gun-control freaks make themselves a nuisance trying to break down the resistance of Constitutional rights of a citizen to possess whatever gun he/she wants. They just keep on and on and on.

The late Philip Luty ( THE HOMEGUNSMITH.COM) proved how utterly useless these laws are. Ironically the easiest ones to construct were full auto. Semi auto was slightly more complex but not by much.

All were constructed with readily available hardware store materials and were safe and functional although accuracy was somewhat lacking.

How to make cheap, accurate, rifled barrels at home (electro-chemical machining) using power supply, salt, and water.

“ (e) Manufacturing an untraceable firearm or manufacturing or distributing a firearm using a three-dimensional printer is a Class D felony”

This sort of thinking just opems the door to criminals using 3D printers while regular Joe Sixpack is barred from doing so.

With 3D printers, the genie is out of the bottle despite the protestations of the lawyers and legislators. They might to try to ban bitcoin, while they are at it.

Time for Delaware 2A-sanctuary locals. Southern Delaware is Conservative, but sparsely populated. Wilmington controls. Let’s do it.

Almost as easy as my Dan Wesson for barrel change out. and this one fires both shot shells and cartidge ammo. I'd prolly use Gorilla Tape.
