How desperate is the liberal media to bring down President Trump? Desperate enough to resort to the most absurd analogies to make their supposed impeachment case against the president.
Take CNN "senior political analyst" John Avlon on this morning's New Day. Avlon actually offered the preposterous proposition that John Bolton's prospective testimony at the impeachment trial would be "the equivalent of Nixon's smoking gun tape."

I caught the closing minutes of the Trump defense yesterday, and then the camera switched to a CBS panel, which discussed it all. One woman said that the Trump team was guilty of malpractice because they did not use up the remaining ten hours (since, of course, they could not really mount a defense against the democrat’s overwhelming case}.
The irony: CBS refused to show Pam Bondi’s take down of the Bidens. None of the networks did.

Dean had a remarkably good memory but without the Oval Office tapes it would just have been his word against Nixon. Dean was also at the center of the cover-up. Bolton, it seems, is giving his version of some conversations he had with President Trump. The President should be able to bounce ideas off confidential advisors before making a decision. Trump didn't do anything illegal but the whole Ciaramella/Schiff gambit has been to remove him from office for having the wrong motive for a perfectly legal action, and Bolton may be useful to them in that regard.
These people MUST be getting paid for what they say. No one could be this stupid in the same place.
I find it interesting that just like with the Kavenaugh hearing, new, fresh evidence appears out of nowhere right at the last minute.
Apparently in 1999 neither side used all of their allotted time in the Clinton impeachment trial. This time around the House Managers did...but they were repeating themselves a lot. Forcing the Senators to sit and hear them drone on and on was cruel and unusual punishment.
I wouldn’t put it past Schiff to be smack dab in the middle of all this as normal. It’s convenient that Ukrainian naturalized twins are a) controlling foreign policy in Ukraine, a govt that has offered at least one of them a job 3 times; and b) in charge of auditing a book pre-publish, for, well, whatever they read it for with their little red pen in hand like a teacher grading papers. Bolton is supposedly wandering the streets of Qatar. Also convenient if true. And we still don’t know if any of this is a leak, or out of context, or a Schiff fantasy script. Schiff, who thinks he’s J Edgar because he once overprosecuted a drunk so he could use the time to rub elbows with every FBI agent that couldn’t avoid him.
And since when do govt employees write tell-alls before the smell of their bum is gone off their office chair? How can one say Books-r-Us, Inc. LLC is not trying to influence an election, or influence foreign policy, or the foreign policy of other nations towards the US, or staffing decisions or any of a dozen smarmy Ukrainianish things.
Smell That smell? It’s the smell of yet another Democrat ‘smoking gun’ that stinks of high mischief and treason.
“Bombshell”, “Smoking Gun”, Wash rinse repeat. They have worn out their Thesaurus’.
Hitlery’s deleted emails and smashed digital devices and wiped server were worse than Nixon’s alleged 15 minutes of tape.
