I love to read and can read much faster than any video so I would rather not waste my time watching and go straight to reading. I can also backtrack if needed to better my comprehension if I have a question.
The same goes for instructions. Give me printed instructions with a few clear drawings/pictures for me to follow. Videos are a total waste of my time and I detest them.

PC speech codes are as bad as any communist propaganda. They force people to believe or at least not oppose the most ridiculous things. The end result is the loss of personal dignity and meaning. They assault the very nature of what it means to be free. You are forced to believe a lie. The more outrageous the lie the better.

“Cultural appropriation”
“Good is what we say it is not what you believe it is.”
These things assault not just the political system but the very fabric of society. They are a kind of sophistry which leads enviably the dictatorship of moral busybodies which is far, far, far, worse than anything we see in the PRC today.
So no, I am not wrong and I will not back down on this. People who try and enforce PC speech codes (Like the Canada government) are the worst kind of evil because they deny basic reality.
