Brexit alone will make Johnson the second most consequential Prime Minister since Winston ChurchillOnly *if* he follows through. Brexit as it is right now, isn't totally defined. The trade deal (level playing field?) and control of the fishing waters are just two issues to be negotiated.
Boris has at least imposed a negotiation deadline of December 2020, with no extensions! I expect he'll keep to that; he saw what happened to Theresa May's numbers when the UK woke up on April 1, 2019, and they were still in the EU.
Tonight is reason to celebrate, and I have been in spirit with my UK cousins. But we still have 11 months of tough negotiations to go that will determine what kind of Brexit it will be, and what kind of PM Boris will be.
