I think it's an uphill battle for a traditional politician to win the Repub nomination...and Pence is nothing if not a traditional politician.

I was mostly arguing why it wouldnt be Romney - hes traditional, AND a loser, AND was never VP.
Pence may indeed be too traditional for these times, but hes not a loser and he does have the VP thing going for him, which at least gets you an audition.
For example, does anyone think for a minute that Slow (and crooked) Joe Biden would be even a consideration, much less a strong contender, had he not been Obamas VP?
