The San Diego region will get $300 million in federal funding for a new U.S. facility to capture sewage spills from Mexico before they foul shorelines north of the border.

San Diego already process a lot of TJs sewage at Pt. Lima sewage treatment plant. The line to it goes right down Harbor Dr. and there is a pumping station and standby pump right by the airport.
