Claims he voted his conscience. He forgot one tiny detail. He is there to represent his constituent; NOT to impose his will. McConnell needs to strip him of committee participation. Utah can wait until the budget is balanced before getting any pork.

McConnell is not going to do that. At one point in his presser, after the acquittal, he said in reference to Romney as part of an answer to a question, paraphrased: “Aside from this vote today he has pretty good in voting with us on issues”. So I read McConnell as intending to let the issue drop, and let Romney to be dealt with by the Utah voters, if they care to.
