US closes case against ex-FBI boss McCabe with no charges
AP News ^ | 14 Feb 20 | ERIC TUCKER and MICHAEL BALSAMO

Federal prosecutors have declined to charge former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, closing an investigation into whether he lied to federal officials about his involvement in a news media disclosure, McCabe’s legal team said Friday.

The decision resolves a criminal investigation that spanned more than a year and began with a referral from the Justice Department’s inspector general, which said McCabe repeatedly lied about having authorized a subordinate to share information with a newspaper reporter for a 2016 article about an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

McCabe’s lawyers said in a statement they were told in a phone call and letter that the case is closed and “no charges will be brought against him based on the facts.”

McCabe, a frequent target of attacks from President Donald Trump, has denied that he intentionally misled anyone. He has said his 2018 firing — for what the Justice Department called “lack of candor” — was politically motivated. He sued the Justice Department in August, saying officials had used the inspector general’s conclusions as a pretext to rid the FBI of leaders Trump perceived as biased against him.

In a letter on Friday, prosecutors told McCabe’s lawyers that they decided “not to pursue criminal charges against your client” after careful consideration.

“Based on the totality of the circumstances and all of the information known to the government at this time, we consider the matter closed,” said the letter, signed by the chief of the U.S. attorney’s office’s public corruption unit.

The decision was revealed at the week of startling tensions between Trump and the Justice Department over the treatment of one of the Republican president’s longtime allies and confidants, Roger Stone.

Just think how the last 3 years would have gone had Trump appointed a competent loyalist as AG in January 2017, with a mandate to completely clear out all Obama loyalists and swamp rats from the DOJ, FBI, CIA and NSC. If he is able to overcome the media and Democrat fraud and win in November, his priority has to be to drain the 90% of the Swamp that is still untouched. And this includes the clearly biased group of prosecuting attorneys that appear to be a law unto themselves.

Now we know why Barr put on his little show yesterday. He is a deep state scumbag like the rest of them. McCabe walks and Flynn’s life is ruined.

The Bush League Republicans in the Senate would never confirm that type of AG.

It won’t get better unless WE replace them.
Trump can’t do it.
He can stop endorsing them to make our job easier.

Now the rats want to investigate Trump for tweeting about Stone. If he wanted to he could just freaking pardon him. Now McCabe walks. There’s just no more justice in this country. Wish we could just formally split the already split country with each side choosing it’s own leaders. I truly do not want to coexist with these people.

I think the President got wind earlier this week this was coming.

That's why he sent out the tweet with the "Justice" Dept in quotes - and it set off Bagpipes Barr.http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3816303/posts

Now it looks like the fore person in the jury, in the Roger Stone case, had significant bias. Add that to everything else, and this is not looking good for the “Justice” Department.

So Barr goes and publicly cries on the shoulder of a liberal ABC News reporter.

There is no justice at the Dept of Injustice, or the Federal Bureau of Injustice.

I fear for the nation. No, perhaps it’s better to simply say I mourn the nation. Stick a fork in it. It’s dead.

On one side you have every person trying to destroy our institutions, our Founding Father’s reputations, our Founding principles, and our Founding Documents. They detest law and order, and support full blown anarchy.

On the other side, you have people who love this nation, support it’s institutions, law, and order.

Then you have the ruling class which Barr has just declared to be 100% against law and order, and you have it clearly mapped out for you.

Just turn the headlights on and get in line.

The final resting place is just ahead.

Getting a true Patriot as AG isn’t going to happen while the swamp repukes ...TURDle, Linda Graham, Burr control the confirmation. Barr is useless, and thats the best Trump is going to get.

I posted yesterday that Barr’s comments were signaling they were declining to Prosecute.

Barr also said he faced Pressure from Congress.

I think that’s the Senate imploring him to stay away from the Biden family.

He’ll decline to prosecute anyone named Biden, too.
