Socialism is cynicism directed towards society and - correspondingly - is naiveté towards government.Republicanism is skepticism - neither naiveté nor cynicism - towards government and towards society. It wasn't safe to trust Jim Comey when he was astride the government’s investigative arm (and itsn’t safe to trust Wray now) - but there were, are, and will be people who should investigated.
Once they gain power, then they will ban the cynicism and you will be forced to "love the State".
