Bloomberg’s ‘mercenaries’: Billionaire Dem funding network of climate lawyers inside state AG offices
Fox News ^ | 2/18/2020 | Tyler Olson

A program funded by 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg is paying the salaries of lawyers who are farmed out to liberal state attorney general offices to pursue climate-based litigation -- a compact critics say amounts to Bloomberg buying state law enforcement employees to advance his preferred political agenda.

The arrangement, which currently pays the salaries of Special Assistant Attorneys General (SAAGs) in 10 Democratic AG offices, is drawing new scrutiny now that Bloomberg is running for president. The New York University School of Law's State Energy & Environmental Impact Center, which was started in 2017 with $5.6 million from Bloomberg's nonprofit, hires mid-career lawyers as "research fellows" before providing them to state AGs where they assist in pursuing "progressive" policy goals through the courts.

Dems are always saying they want to "take the money out of politics" so this is a perfect way to start by allowing ONLY permanent residents of a state to donate to campaigns of politicians in that state. An absolutely prohibit private citizens from paying the salaries of public employees directly.

Supports my view that the climate change racket:
1- is a means to control the masses
2- an elitist scheme make tons of money funneled to them through government
3- globalize government

Bloomberg is a globalist elitist running under the Rat moniker.

What....Sounds like privatized custom lawyers doing Bedbug’s bidding.

For a change, how about equal justice under the law?

If their salaries are paid by this outside group they aren’t state employees unless the Bloomberg money is paid to the state who then pays them as employees. There would also have to be some legal agreement or contract with the state to accept this money. If they work as outside contractors paid directly by Bloomberg, how could they legally use state equipment, have state office space etc.?

We already know Steyer is heavily invested in the “green industry”. I bet Bloomy is as well.

The only green movement I’m interested is the one in the morning when I had spinach salad for supper.

The only time I went to a Bloomberg News article recently, the site asked me if I wanted a job with Bloomberg.

This was recently (last 4 weeks).

The Bloomberg site may have analyzed my "cookies", and saw some things about me (like a Freerepublic "cookie").

I think I will avoid Bloomberg from now on...

Michael Bloomberg wants to spend billions of dollars. And he may have "ulterior motives to hire someone on Freerepublic.

No thanks, Mike...

This is ridiculous. How can a tweet from Trump they claim influenced a recommendation be illegal/impeachable (take your pick), but directly funding lawyers working inside the government to do your bidding be okay. This will be an interesting point at the debate between Bloomberg and Trump if it comes to it.

According to its website, the NYU State Impact Center currently has attorneys placed in the AG offices for Washington, D.C., Delaware, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York and Oregon. The attorney general running each of those offices is a Democrat.

Usual leftist shitholes, but will their public accept this?
