“Isolated” can mean lots of things. They have yet to explain what it means.
* they sat together in the back rows
* they had a section separated by taped-up visqueen but still breathing cabin air
* they were isolated and had separate ventilation from the rest of the aircraft cabins
* they were in special complete isolation pods (phot in an earlier post)

The whole plane should have been taxied into a pool of kerosene and ignited upon landing. I suppose the people should be removed first, but not by the clowns that thought this up in the first place.

What is it about the cases I have seen reported in San Diego (200)? Costa Mesa CA has been mentioned also with 70 being taken there for quarantine . (from cruise ship?)

In Venice in the 14th century they fixed on a quarantine period of 40 days (which is, after all, where the word came from) - ironic to contemplate that that might be better policy than our current one after all these years.
Agreed, at least at first glance.
This is the tricky part about a highly contagious virus that can survive on a inanimate surface for up to XX days. The 14 who were asymptomatic for the 14 day quarantine could have been exposed as late as the day they left the contaminated ship. They may have then served as asymptomatic carriers that contaminated various surfaces and other humans...etc.

There is only one central air system on most airliners. What is exhaled by persons anywhere on the plane can circulate in that air system.
I hate headlines which make an inflammatory statement but end with " :report". The headline writer knows that the little convention at the end will be missed by most people and omitted entirely in many so-called copies to other formats.
Then the article begins with a statement ending with "according to a report." Who made the report? The report could have been something written on a piece of paper by the writer's friend.

I’m not an alarmist about this mess but what State and HHS did with these 14 was outright stupid and they know it. All involved need fired because they are too stupid for responsible jobs.
