Its unfortunate that live coverage of President Trump receiving what AP calls adulation from a massive, colorful crowd of 125,000 took place during the wee hours of the morning for most Americans. But the consequences of his roughly 36 hours in India will be long lasting and important. He is about to retire for the night in New Delhi after the enormous rally in Ahmedabad, the economically advanced capital of the state Gujarat, Prime Minister Modis home turf, and a quick visit to the Taj Mahal.
However personally gratifying it may have been to equal the overseas crowds Barack Obama was able to draw in Berlin, giving the lie to media claims that Trump is hated overseas, this visit has some very serious goals that are being accomplished. First of all, a trade agreement that lowers Indias high tariffs on American exports, a relic of the days of import-substitution manufacturing by an impoverished India. Now, the United States has become Indias number one export market, and Trump has plenty of leverage to use in lowering those barriers and rapidly increasing American sales to the subcontinent. Indias population is predicted to surpass Chinas in the near future, meaning that Indian markets can pick up the slack if China falters under the weight of coronavirus.

“Trumpie will run like an Energizer Battery that never loses its charge...period!!!”
This is a very important part of his campaign strategy and I believe it will pay huge dividends.
I bought a variety pack of razor blades. I think one brand was made in India.
Now that I think about it, I noticed some storm drain covers/grates were made in India.
Lot of auto parts coming from India. I think they are undercutting China on price as the Chinese move up the wage scale.
actually India makes a lot of medicines, so they could become an alternative source of generic medicines. However, the problem of substandard medicines is found in some off their medicines, just like in medicines from China.
Ironically, the Clinton initiative saved a lot of money by substituting generic Indian medicines to treat HIV in Africa.
Alas, the medicine was a bit substandard but a study showed it still worked and it meant a lot more people would be treated for the same amount of money.
For half of the speech it sounded like he was campaigning for the Prime Minister. Had some good speech writers who did not serious research.
