"CDC is not testing people"

That (lack of testing) is why so many people in the USA are upset.

If the CDC was doing test like the other countries with true numbers, the American public would not be in a state of panic if it show no major outbreak.

Most people will error on the side of being prepared if they do not have all the facts. I did it; does not cost much to stock the house with food and buy a mask. Just like preparing for a huricane that might not hit.

Some reasons people are in a panic state:

China lock down a huge huge number of people to contain the virus. A huge amount of people are infected.

A lot of people believe (until the last week or so) the Chinese cities where like American cities when it came to sanitation and heath regulations.

People do not believe China's reported numbers of daily new infections and death rate in the last couple of weeks. People believe China is ordering people back to work with the outbreak still high to save the economy.

There is news / videos coming out of China via twitter and other social media stating lots of people are dying up to 200,000. People do not know if those are true or false, they do not trust the China Government. The US government has not weight in on this.

South Korea has an outbreak that looks just like China outbreak in the early days.

If what they have been doing is downplaying I don’t want to see their version of hype. That would make people start killing their children to save them from a fate worse than death.
