This thing is being hyped big time!
The CDCs little telebriefing with the media was an abject joke! All they did was add fuel to the utter hysteria of this Coronavirus “outbreak.” The CDC provided no specifics, just warnings to foment fear among Americans!
The timing of their little telebriefing was very suspect! Sad so many FReepers are drinking the media kool-aid on this! It’s also troubling that Rod Rosenstein’s sister is the CDC official who had the briefing with the media! This apparently doesn’t bother some here who believe the Coronavirus hysteria.
Heck, even the ordinary flu kills thousands of people a year here. I honestly don’t see the reason for panic.
I think it would be great to see better sanitation in hospitals and public places, and that would probably do more than anything else to reduce the chances of contagion. Disinfecting buses and subways every day could only be a good thing, especially since most cities have a “homeless” population that is a massive traveling vector of disease. So, yes, there are practical measures that need implementation.
Also, why wasn’t the CDC prepared in terms of equipment, testing and even simple things like protective gear? The bureaucrats just take their paychecks and shrug “who, me?” When confronted on their inactivity.
But the CDC’s “briefing” was nothing but a political stunt and was, in fact, intended to set off or encourage panic.

Isn’t it convenient for Rod to have a fellow/sister traitor embedded in an agency that has the power to whip the American people into a frenzy in an attempt to destroy Trump? I’d say so.
