Officials with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed the nation’s first coronavirus case of unknown origin Wednesday in Northern California in the latest sign of the virus’ rapid spread.
“It is a confirmed case. There is one in Northern California,” CDC spokesman Scott Pauley told The Sacramento Bee just before 4 p.m. Wednesday. Pauley declined to elaborate.
It was immediately unknown where in Northern California the case was discovered, but officials have begun to trace the person’s contacts as they sleuth out where and how the person may have become infected and whether others have been exposed,

No, not good at all. Would be nice to know name, city, where they have traveled in past 30 days. Did they have contact with people that are now infected and so forth. We get people from California all the time here in Reno. The Chinese Coronavirus Plague is getting closer and closer.

Yep. I was temporarily relieved when Tucker said he was going to talk about the debate... but then he said “but first...!” and has now been stoking virus fears non-stop for the past 10 minutes.

Flu and coronavirus are both respiratory diseases that can be aerosolized and transmitted by breathing the virus or even droplets in the eye. No evidence flu is ore transmissible. Norovirus, gross as it is, is transmitted via eating contaminated feces. So cook your own food and you won’t get it. Unfortunately we all share air.

There is no such thing... Fake news. You require contact with somebody who has the virus to get the virus. Period!
Uh,.... no on the norovirus.... it exists on countertops and surfaces from various vector transmission and deposit. It can close entire medical facilities for it being identified as localized epidemic (as in nursing homes... and major hospital centers).
As a professional, can tell you influenza is indeed airborne (called contagion) and also surface contact (like from grocery cart to hands,that then may go to mouth and other orifices).
