flu causes pneumonia, it’s a kind of flu

Sepsis, pleural effusion, and CHF all cause pneumonia as well.

I am not sure what the whole flu comparison has to do with this.

It is a novel virus. It is more akin to the last novel viruses: SARS, MERS, and something like the Spanish flu.

Until there is a lot more known we should continue to keep our guard up. THAT doesn’t mean panic. It does mean use caution until we see that caution can be thrown to the wind.
