Exactly. These guys are obviously bought out because the obvious play is to get your delegates and see what it’s worth (not money) to the nominee. He was probably paid a sum.

Books deals are the new payola. Look for him to get a seven-figure deal and get DNC backing for a Senate race.
They didn’t need to offer him VP and given Biden’s ‘one term’ deal and terrible health they know they need someone experienced for that slot.
He sold out but will get paid well.
