“China says the virus is slowing down. So is it all over now? Back to normal?”

If Beijing says it’s so, then it must be! (huge sarcasm tag here)
Yes, but they have everything to lose if they are not forthcoming about diseases don’t they?

That’s not how they reason. They toss out the BS so they can maintain power. Beijing isn’t concerned about appearances. They still haven’t come clean about the Tiananmen Square Massacre - and that’s been over 30 years ago.
Well then that is scary. So Trump did the right thing declaring a NE within a month after the first cases?
Don’t sweat it.
No problem...
Agreed. Are flu stats regarding number of cases also taken from only those symptomatic? Presumably a lot more people have it that than are tested or reflected in that number. I know from experience that docs don’t always even test as it’s a virus they can’t prescribe a cure for. I also wonder if there is a breakdown of flu deaths by age, region and general health.
One trusted news correspondent has a son and medic daughter-in-law living in Southern China. Neither have fallen ill and their continued report is that things are normalizing. Granted, it’s only one source, but it is at least a reliable one from within.
Amen, brother - I’m 67 and the wife will be 70 in 2 months...knowing Christ makes the inevitable more enviable...but perhaps not today...
Way too many letting this bug obsess them.
Temps there low 30’s at night and average 50 in daytime. Rainy. Good bug spreading weather.
