SEATTLE - The novel coronavirus tightened its grip on Washington state Tuesday, with nine deaths reported and at least 25 total cases confirmed statewide.

Eight deaths have been reported in King County, and one in Snohomish County, health officials said.

One of the deaths confirmed Tuesday happened six days ago at Harborview Medical Center, but the coronavirus diagnosis wasn't made until well after the person's death, said Harborview spokesperson Susan Gregg.

I wonder if they can isolate the initial source of the infection?

I don’t know. I think they have their hands full handling the results of the infection.

All the deaths had underlying medical conditions such as advanced age or undergoing chemo. It’s tragic, death always is. But it is not justification for the panic that the msm and many on this site are trying to gin-up.

40,000 soccer fans went to a Sounders game in Seattle over the weekend - containment and contact tracing are no longer options. Education, prevention, and localized quarantines are coming to us here in Western Washington.

Washington DOH has been useless, even turning away a news anchor from one of the local news stations who called to get help. She has symptoms after covering the nursing home event that sickened patients and first responders.

King and Snohomish counties are both $hit shows.

Sorry you feel panicked. Maybe you should avoid the news for awhile.

I’m 66 and don’t really consider death tragic at my age. I’m still quite fit and healthy, but I welcome death. Now, if I was younger and had others depending on me, I’d feel different.

The apostle Paul said to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Bottom line, for me, is that when I hear about people over 70 dying of this, I don’t even want them to be considered in the “death statistic” used to determine the severity of the disease itself.

I only perk up when I hear about a young or middle aged healthy person dying of this virus. Us old people are fragile. We die all the time of stuff that younger people just brush off.

I have stated that some of the CV deaths that had gone under the radar (”but flu”) would be discovered when they went back and checked. This is likely just the tip of the iceberg.

Most were elderly and in poor health.

Cows are already out of the barn door on this one, yeah.

Talk your BS in two weeks after tests are run. If you’re right I’ll gladly eat crow.

But when the numbers here in Washington skyrocket and local panic ensues, I’m going to be calling you and a few others total fools.

Not to downplay the emergency, but 22 people just died from a tornado in Nashville.

Nationwide the virus has killed 19 (so far).

“This is likely just the tip of the iceberg.”

We’ll have a better idea when more testing is done. So far, testing has been rare and not dependable re:results. Hopefully that will change, so that a more clear idea will be forthcoming.

Tornadoes that hit late at night are always the worst.
Very unfortunate.

Just remember, it is not as dangerous as the common flu.

Math is hard. Let’s go shopping (if so, I recommend rice, beans, and bleach).

Meanwhile around 105 kids have died from regular flu so far this season; 80,000 deaths from flu last season. Perspective.

No doubt it will sweep through like any other seasonal flu. But I bet you are going to find the mortality rate is the same as any other flu. What goes around, comes around. That's just the way it is. You are the fool to buy into the panic.
