Although it was black voters in South Carolina who probably saved Biden’s bacon by giving him a much-needed bounce, it might be black voters who give Trump help in retaining the White House. In 2016, Trump was able to win the White House with only 8% of the black vote. Although that meant 92% of blacks who voted went for Hillary, the problem was with the number of blacks who stayed home: Of the black voters who turned out for Obama in 2012, 7% stayed home for Hillary in 2016.
If Democrats are to have a prayer of retaking the White House, they’re going to need lots of black voters. Trump aims to deny them those votes. As reported here earlier, Trump is doing something Republicans should have been doing for years: making a direct play for black voters.
To his credit, Trump is not offering black voters more and more welfare. Instead, he’s making the pitch that, by improving the economy and enforcing border control laws, the lives of black Americans are improving dramatically. Trump is impressing upon them the fact that the scary things Democrats have been saying about him vis-à-vis African Americans are untrue.
Certainly Sen. Tim Scott (R.- S.C.) believes that Trump’s efforts will pay off:

On Wednesday night, Trump appeared on Sean Hannity’s show to remind voters how his policies benefit black Americans, with special emphasis on the way in which he’s reversed Democrat policies (especially Biden’s and Obama’s) that locked blacks in prisons

I posted this on another thread regarding Mr Robinson’s victory in NC but I think it is pertinent here.
unfortunately we have let the democrat party ingrain the perception among blacks that Republicans and Conservatives want blacks to fail and forever be subservient. We need to overcome that perception and let blacks know in no uncertain terms that we strongly support success for all people, equality under the law and the achievement the of the American dream for every citizen. Let every man and women rise as far as their potential and hard work will take them.

It has always been surprising to me that the GOP does not accuse the DNC of genocide. The DNC is pro-choice. The majority of abortions in the US are blacks.
Some years ago the percentage of blacks among the general population of the US was projected to rise to 25% by now. It did not happen. The number is still 12 to 13%, as it was then. Abortion is a big reason why.
Actually Clinton got 89 percent of the black vote. 3 percent went 3rd party. I predict Trump will get 20 percent of black men but remain in the single digits with black women. Even a small increase will shore up PA and MI. If Trump holds FLA and AZ, he only needs 1 out of 4 toss ups in the Rust belt (PA, MI, WI and MN) to hit 270.
100% true, that is why they perpetuate the myth. We just have not efficiently ever fought back.
I predict he will win all the states he won in 2016 plus three more and one will be a “long shot blue state”
