It’s all very dated, since the cartel drug rings and Latin American gangs are the in crowd now, and the Mafia just does penny ante rackets, like enforcing a monopoly on garbage pickup in some neighborhoods, or running numbers. They’ve had HUNDREDS of Sicilians come over in the 2000s to build and strengthen the ranks.
They are making as much money as they ever have.
And with some tech crimes, maybe more.
But it’s good for them if people think they are done.
If you check for indictments, you’ll see there are still a lot and they are ALWAYS being replaced cause out here SO MANY are looking to get in.
