It’s a basic theory of management that a bad plan well-executed beats the best plan poorly executed.
Obama’s biggest problem was that he was just too lazy and risk averse to execute ANYTHING. This was destined to fail, even if the plan had been outstanding.
No he didnt winning a election is not the job of politics. Winning the election is a job interview.
Name one thing Obama accomplished by creating even the most basic monocum of support for... just one. In 8 years. He rammed through things that were disasters when his party had control of Congress and accomplished nothing else period.
Even Trump has gotten both parties on board for things in his 3 years even with the democrats openly playing opposition to almost anything he does
And for the record, his re election would have never happened has republicans actually ran for the office. Obama has the distinction of being thr only President in history to be re elected for a second term with fewer votes than he got in his initial election.
And Obamacare was a bad plan, poorly executed.
But- it was DESIGNED to fail!
One of the authors ADMITTED it during what he thought was a private meeting, and someone got it on video.
Yeah but you can go down the list of everything else Obama tried to do and see the same pattern.
A guy who voted “present” 129 times has no business being a chief executive.
Woodrow Wilson is neck and neck with DingleBarry, IMO, for that honor.
Wilson did a lot more damage.
Obamacare was always meant to fail—so our sheep would demand a fully nationalized system.
And Barry was a commie CIA puppet—lying was a badge of honor to him.
Wilson was a disaster as well... no doubt.
Now we need to be careful that this corona virus panic doesn’t morph into total nationalized healthcare and see the endgame for obamacare fully realized.
Agreed.
How pathetic is it that Barry had to make a video celebrating his own “accomplishment” because he knew nobody else wanted to be associated with it?
“He was utterly inept at the actual job of politics....”
Hmm, isn’t the actual job of politics kind of like how the doctor distracts a kid right before they stick the hypodermic needle in? Except politicians are sticking in something other than a needle...
re: https://wikidiff.com/statesman/politician
The referenced link offers some interesting differences between a statesman and a politician.
One of its definitions for 'politician' is: "A sly or ingratiating person."
It defines a statesman as: "A male political leader who promotes the public good or who is recognized for probity, leadership, or the qualities necessary to govern a state."
Unfortunately, our government has far too few statesman.
It’s actually pretty easy to win elections when your opponents have no intention of winning and throws them to you.
Obama planned obamacare to fail and be replaced by single payer. He expressed this sentiment to a leftist group upset because he did not give them single payer. He told them to be patient.
