The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday upheld a ruling that allows House Democrats to view secret grand jury information from Robert Mueller’s Russia probe that had been redacted from his report.
The court’s 2-1 decision agreed with a lower court that the House Judiciary Committee can obtain the information for impeachment investigations of President Trump under an exception for “judicial proceedings,” per the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.

The DOJ, opposing the House Democrats, argued that because Trump had already been impeached and acquitted by the time the court was to rule, there was no longer a basis for the committee needing the information. The committee responded by claiming that their investigation was still continuing and that new articles of impeachment remained a possibility.

DOJ should appeal to the Supreme Court if only to stop the Dems using this as a further political stunt to try and twart Trump’s reelection.

Years ago I filed a formal ethics complaint against an attorney who had libeled me in a piece of correspondence.
As I should have expected the Bar Association circled the wagons and the State Board refused to discipline. There was no appeals process, but I filed a request under the state’s FOIA act for records and details of their investigation/deliberation.
They refused, claiming that it would reveal privileged information, sources and methods.
I guess I’m just not as important as some people.

This is the absolute definition of the concept of moot but apparently the Appeals Court is unaware of that.
Their identity, life, and secret location is more important than our
Congress' need to know.
Members of Congress have demonstrated again and again that they can't
keep anything privileged secret.
While your case is interesting, it has nothing to do with this sort
of thing.
As I understand it, this is a matter of law. These reports are always
summarized or redacted heavily.
What's more the demoncRats in Congress know that damn well.
This judge is a Clinton appointee, and has no clue here.
Bar associations exist only to protect lawyers.
Or are Dems so sure of their hold on the Judiciary that they can open and close this door depending on who runs Congress (Dems = open; Repubs = closed)?
Then, again, there's the FACT that Repubs are a group of folding lawn chairs/cheap suits who NEVER press their advantage. I sure hope Trump has changed all that...
