I suppose one way to look at it is that the government has possession of OUR money- Without us- they wouldn’t have any money at all- what they are giving people during this crisis is what these people paid into the system for years on end to keep these government bureaucrats in office-

They wouldn’t be giving us ‘government money’ - they would be giving BACK the people’s money- (Except for some of the welfare people who never worked a day in their lives)

Retirees just saw 30% of their savings disappear in the market. Welfareites should not get it, their assistance is not changing. Teachers, if on salary, no, they should not get it, but if they are hourly then yes. That is really the key … hourly and unemployed vs salary or not in the workforce. Salaried employees should not get anything, because their comp is not being changed. Hourly and unemployed are impacted. If you don’t qualify as hourly or unemployed (in the UI system) or retired (in SSI claiming benefits), then the only other group to consider are small business owners.
