If you look at the German method....gas stations, grocery operations, drug stores, and food essential production operations are what stays open. Furniture shops, clothing operations, production of anything that is non-essential is closed until mid-April. Schools, kindergartens, and child-care...shut down.
Night clubs, drinking establishments and bars? Shutdown. Airports are mostly shutdown (might be 2-percent of the flights still running at this point).
They can probably get away with this for about four to six weeks. At the present rate...most teens are considering the curfew business a ‘joke’.

DHS SEC said no they are not shutting the country down. This is the second time the WE ran this scare story.
New York alone is responsible for almost half the cases in the US!
Not to sound heartless, but even that overheated projection is an absurdly small percentage.

It’s time to quarantine the elderly and folks with poor health, and the rest of us to get back to work, maybe catching this thing and getting it over with.
I feel that this isolation is only going to prolong this. Once everyone gets the green light to go back out, it’ll start back up again. It’s still out there.
It is idiotic to destroy our world over a particularly virulent flu virus that kills generally only a tiny subset of the people in infects.
I just visited a grocery store, which had nothing I came to get.
There was no sign requesting customers wash their hands upon entering.
The shopping carts were still placed before the restrooms.
The store wasn’t open 24 hours to facilitate social distancing.

It isn’t legal to discriminate based on overall age or health condition either. Isolation will enable the young and healthy to get it, become immune and flatten the curve by not passing it along.

That’s what happens when these viruses, they wane in the summer and return in the winter.
So we’ll have to lockdown the country again next winter.
