RedState's Kira Davis wrote last week, "When this is all over we are f***ing done with China."

Seriously, no more messing around. No more cozying up to Chinese investors (I’m looking at you, Obama). No more handing over vital technology and information to the Chinese government (I’m looking at you, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton). No more back-end deals with Chinese security firms and tech providers (I’m looking at you, Joe Biden). No more Hollywood films made to please the Chinese investors (I’m looking at you, Matt Damon).

We let ourselves be lulled buy cheap goods and fancy smartphones. We are not to blame…who doesn’t want to pay less for more? However, we have all been a part of the equation in some way. We have looked the other way as China has been slowly encroaching on the markets and governments of the free West. We let ourselves believe that they could find their way to some kind of hybrid capitalism-communism miracle that would eventually infect their culture and turn them more toward the capitalist side.

An interesting question would be whether these are the same kits the Chinese used themselves in assessing whether people were infected or cured? Of the crappy “for export” version.

because it works with antibodies,

Aha. These are not the usual tests for the virus presence that everyone is doing, this is potentially much more valuable -- but also much more complicated.

If these tests are debugged they will provide true picture of infections -- including those who had mild forms of the disease and no longer even have the virus.

Yep...that would be the question to ask. Probably millions had a ‘plain regular flu’....when they had the Coronavirus. Might be interesting to ask who the developers were for the test, and if they are still alive today.

The export version is always superior. Because export customers aren’t shy about complaints. Whereas the Chinese media won’t bite the hand that feeds them (whether private companies that run ads or state-owned enterprises that are pretty much divisions of the same company as the Party-owned media units). Now we know another reason the Chinese covid-19 numbers are so low.

The Chinese dumped their rejected test kits on the Czech’s as propaganda or perhaps sabotage

These kits give false Negatives - tell you that you are not infected when you actually are

Worse than no test at all - far more dangerous. If the Soviet Union had pulled this during the Cold War we would have called it an act of war

Here, the Czechs are “giftees” rather than “customers.”

Gift recipients don’t complain in the same manner that customers do. Customers need to be satisfied to get repeat orders.

Maybe in Africa, where you pay the recipients off or the officials sell the kits for cash. Not in Europe.

Ahhhh, so now we know why the Chinese death toll is so low. 80% died of something else and went unreported.

I read somewhere that the Chinese shipment to Italy was a purchase. This may be the same thing. There’s certainly nothing in the article to indicate this was a gift.

I interpreted “sends” to mean gift, which I agree isn’t necessarily indicative. “Sells” would have removed all doubt, as would have “buys from.”

There have been a number gifts associated with this virus, in particular gifts to the US of hydroxychloroquine from a couple of companies (Bayer and Teva...or maybe Mylan). So that is why I took “send” to involve gifting.
