my grandparents lived through the spanish flu era (unfortunately i never got to talk with them about it). i know it must have been bad. one of my grandmothers worked as a nurse’s aide, possibly inspired by health care workers of that era.

It seems easy for biden to sit on the sidelines and snipe at trump. biden is saying we should lock down now for several weeks, separate the pandemic from the economy and make sure that the pandemic is dispelled first in all 50 states before fixing the economy. well, then is biden in favor of the $2T emergency stimulus bill or not? did not Pelosi and the House as well as all senate democrats favor the bill? and what about states that have so far escaped the worst of the pandemic and are indeed appearing normal? should they suffer because WA, CA, NY and LA fumbled and are now suffering the consequences? cooper is not really drilling into biden the way that reporters drill into trump at any number of trump’s daily briefings.
