Gov. Phil Murphy issued a warning Tuesday for residents of lowest common denominator states with lax policies and restrictions to address the coronavirus pandemic: You might have to stay away from New Jersey for a while once the outbreak slows here.
Murphy said he cant allow residents from states that didnt take this as seriously and make decisions not based on science and fact to start the fire again in the Garden State after the outbreak finally dies down. The peak in cases could still be weeks away, health officials have said.
Were not going to go through this pain together just to be exposed to the lowest common denominator," the governor said at the Trenton War Memorial during his daily coronavirus briefing. "Were not going to pay this price and pay to watch that movie again.
Im not going to put (our residents) through hell and back and flatten that curve, only to have some lowest common denominator throw gasoline on the fire, Murphy said. Ill be darned if Im going to let some lowest common denominator suck us back in.

I presume he is talking about New York which has had no leadership in containment and very late very weak leadership in mitigation
Noted. Never go to New Jersey.
Someone let this governor know that the cesspool that is New Jersey is one of the last places in this country I would willingly go.
who the hell wants to go to NJ?
Then tell his people, NY and Ct people to stop travelling down here and spreading the virus.
Quarantine those 3 states.

Is refusing me admittance to New Jersey a reward or a penalty?
People who don’t want diseases have always stayed away from the gonorrhea state.
“You might have to stay away from New Jersey for a while...”
Oh no say it ain’t so! There goes my once in a lifetime dream vacation!
I’m stuck here in NJ and even I don’t want to visit.
I thought scientifically what they were doing was slowing down the spread of the disease. My understanding was they were not changing the percentage of people ultimately getting it. That means residents from the “unenlightened” states will be further along being finished than New Jersey at any given point in time.
Well, I have to say, he doesn’t have to worry about me wanting to visit New Jersey. I’m sure many others here feel the same.
And I was sooo looking forward to a summer in Trenton.
Illannoy here. Where did we go wrong in life?
It’s OK Virginians can’t leave till the 10 of June.
Not sure why everyone is attacking him. His advice is perfectly reasonable. In fact you should never throw gasoline on a burning trash heap.
Why would an one go to New Jersey...there all moving out??
Here in MO we’re aren’t on “lockdown” yet so we’re “lowest common denominator”. For the sake of health, I’m canceling all future visits to the “Garden State”. You’re welcome.
Why would I ever want to go to the festering boil of a State?
