Illinois' stay-at-home order has been extended until April 30, Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced Tuesday.
Pritzker said he was signing an executive order that would extend Illinois’ Disaster Proclamation, stay-at-home order, and the suspension of on-site learning at schools across the state.
"If we can end these orders earlier, I’ll be the first to tell you when we can start to make strides toward normal again," Pritzker said.
The news comes one week before the initial order was set to end and just days after the state saw its biggest rise in cases of the coronavirus pandemic so far.
Health officials warn that Illinois' cases have still not peaked and a continued increase in patients threatens to overwhelm state hospitals, healthcare workers and first responder

My experience is that most extremely wealthy people are usually quite fit and healthy. This guy has $3.4 billion but is an outlier.

I live here in Virginia (southeast)...was out today because I had to go to the drive thru ATM. NOWHERE does it look like we are stay at home orders. Appeared as if everything was open except hair cut places. It was ridiculous! My daughter did say in her area of Portsmouth, the Walmart was requiring anyone who came inside to have a mask and they were taking temperatures at the door...now that was surprising!
I know someone who wants to drive from Bartlett to Oshkosh. She thinks that she’ll probably be arrested, if she goes that far from her home. What do you think about it? I emailed the Illinois State Police, this morning, but I didn’t get a reply.
i would bet the rent money that if she obeyed all traffic laws she would not be stopped.
