When the sun came up Wednesday morning, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was already awake. But as Cuomo tells it, his early rising wasn't by choice.
"I was up all night," he said during Wednesday's edition of "Cuomo Prime Time," broadcast live from his basement where he is now self-quarantining after announcing one day earlier that he tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The cause of Cuomo's insomnia?
"This virus came at me, I've never seen anything like it," Cuomo said, telling viewers that he was racked with a fever of around 103 degrees "that wouldn't quit."
"It was like somebody was beating me like a piñata," he continued. "I was shivering so much . . . I chipped my tooth."
Then, there were the fever-induced hallucinations.
"My dad was talking to me," a wide-eyed Cuomo said, referring to his late father, former New York governor and revered Democratic Party figure Mario Cuomo, who died in January 2015. "I was seeing people from college, people I haven't seen in forever. It was freaky what I lived through last night, and it may happen again tonight."
For the second night in a row, Cuomo, 49, who has repeatedly said that he refuses to be sidelined by the virus, merged his personal experience with news coverage of the global pandemic in an effort to drive home the seriousness of the outbreak. During Wednesday's show, the anchor provided viewers with a firsthand account of what coronavirus symptoms may feel like, while also interviewing guests such as CNN chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta, New Jersey Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy and the loved ones of a New Jersey emergency room doctor who recently died after treating covid-19 patients.

Of course not. If it comes from the main stream media it is ultimately a lie. I was naive and had assumed that everyone on this site pretty much realize that. But the weaponizing and politicizing of the flu has revealed that to be far from the case.

Had the same experience as a kid with a second round of the measles. Something the snowflake generation is unaware of.
Shook for 24 hours. Don’t recall seeing God or my Dad (he was in the next room anyway) but everything was rather vivid.
It’s your immune system going after the invader critters.

I told this to a friend when Cuomo was diagnosed and he thought I was crazy....
I have begun to wonder if they’re media people out there who actually want to get sick, especially if they are in a category that is likely to survive....it’s sort of like news reporters that go into war zones or reporting while a major hurricane is all around them....
They want to become the center of attention, they want to almost glamorize what they are going thru and be told how brave an courageous they are.....
Cuomo especially after the whole Fredo incident he wanted to prove like Fredo in the movie that he was smart, he could run things....etc.....
Call me crazy but I don’t think Cuomo is all that worried about getting the virus...
