Americans shouldn’t assume hydroxychloroquine is a “knockout drug” in preventing or treating COVID-19, White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Friday.
“We still need to do the definitive studies to determine whether any intervention, not just this one, is truly safe and effective,” Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on Fox News. “But when you don’t have that information, it’s understandable why people might want to take something anyway even with the slightest hint of being effective.”

Another, equally sinister explanation, is that he’s in the pocket of big pharma, and won’t make a bundle if a cheap generic drug obviates the need for a new, expensive designer drug. Lives in the interim be damned.
If I had the chinese virus and they told me that drug only had a 20% chance of working, hell Yeah I’d take it! My nephew is in day 20 of the virus and still not 100% better and he’s young. Well next to me he is:-)

He says he supports HCQ treatment (of course he does, he knows how to kiss ass, of course!)
But he doesn’t authorize (according to my reading) funding for HCQ trials or treatment. He funds vaccines.
The word turds dribbling from his mouth are ambiguous, duplicitous, unreliable, useless. Where he funds and what he authorizes for funding is the telltale sign of where his thinking is.
This guy is a loose cannon. His utterances on the talk-circuit have the ability to tank markets, cause panic buying, create false hope or destroy it, all with just a ‘harmless’ comment. He should only address the public in his capacity through approved channels. In other words, Trump needs to rein him in.

I think President Trump needs to put Dr.Fauci aside and let someone else that knows what they are talking about to speak about the governments response.
Fauci seems to give contradictory statements every 24 hours.Not a good way to represent the CDC or any other agency during this period.
People need to be confident in the decision making process of Fauci and people associated with him.

This patient ***may*** have been very ill and close to death with something that hypothetically has been in the news a lot — lets call it the plague
I ***may*** have administered hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin
Patient ***may*** have had an impressive turn around as measured by hypothetical arterial blood gasses in 12 hours.
Patient ***may*** have been on the ventilator for three days and hypothetically could have been extubated and could be fine
Patient ***may*** be elderly and with multiple medical problems
Perhaps Dr. Fauci should get to bedside and treat some patients before opining.
I watched Fauci on Fox and Friends this morning. I thought Kilmeade was going to go postal with Fauci’s smirking and negativity against Hydroxychloroquine. Fauci was a nasty little bitch and I got the impression he would rather see people die than admit he might be wrong.
There is Zero Upside to denying the drug HCQ at this point, and EVERY REASON to believe it will work- If soemoen is dying and it doesn’t work for them- AT LEAST they gave it their all trying to survive- doing nothing ensures the person will die (provided they have a severe case of Covid)
This is absolutely idiotic- We have to try Everything at our disposal to try to save lives, and we’re getting result after result after results that this drug with zing and antibiotics are saving lives- in some cases, some trials, some studies, close to, or even 100% of the patients survive=-
At this point, it should be a crime to prevent the drug i n the face of this declared emergency! Every single day that these naysayers delay means 100’s of deaths- 100’s of unnecessary deaths
people at this point should be charged with negligent homicide for denying lifesaving drugs- it is unethical, irresponsible, and criminal to deny people what very likely is a lifesaving drug at best, at worst- a person’s best chance at survival given that there are no other safe alternatives to take at this point!
Hopefully President TRump excoriates cuomo for denying the drug to people outside of his little clinical trial, and hopefully He excoriates those states that held off allowing it like michigan, nevada etc-
